UTILITIES
The City of Gordon residents are provided through a Constructed Wetlands Water Treatment Plant located at 185 Papermill Road in Gordon, Georgia.
All customer service transactions (including establishing new service or reconnecting service) can be handled at Gordon’s City Hall located at from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Wednesday at 12 noon.
Once an in-house application is complete, a work order is then processed to connect your service on the next business day. New Service connections are not available on weekends or holidays.

City of Gordon Application for Water and/or Sewerage
Water
- 1-2000 gallons: $11.88 Base
- Over 2000 gallons: $4.07 per 1,000 gallons above the 2000
Sewerage
- 1-2000 gallons of water consumption: $10.93 Base
- Over 2000 gallons of water consumption: $2.52 per 1,000 gallons above the 2000
The following increases in water and sewerage connection fees are effective immediately as accepted and approved in Ordiance Number 2018-002, dated February 19, 2018.
- Water Connection fees for new service: $325.00
- Sewer Connection fees for new service: $350.00
New rates for water and sewage will be effective for March Usage and will be reflected on April billing 2018.
City of Gordon trash services are provided by Dixon Disposal. Yard debris and bulk items are picked up by City crewes. Such items must be separated and an oversized load fee may appy to large loads of such materials. The City does not pick up roofing materials, construction, or demolition debris.
- Garbage $10.50 per can-per month Inside City limits.
- Garbage $12.00 per can-per month Outside City limits.
Natural gas service is provided by the City to its residents. More information about this service, including rates and fees, may be obtained by calling or by visiting City Hall.
