UTILITIES
The City of Gordon residents are provided through a Constructed Wetlands Water Treatment Plant located at 185 Papermill Road in Gordon, Georgia.
All customer service transactions (including establishing new service or reconnecting service) can be handled at Gordon’s City Hall located at from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Wednesday at 12 noon.
Once an in-house application is complete, a work order is then processed to connect your service on the next business day. New Service connections are not available on weekends or holidays.
*Please note that New Service Deposits paid in person must be paid using cash, check or money order only. Water deposit (refundable) – $250.

The following increases in water and sewage connection fees are effective immediately as approved and adopted by Mayor & Council on 9-17-2025:
- Water Connection fees for new service: $750
New rates for water and sewage will be effective for October Usage and will be reflected on November billing 2025.

Gordon Water & Sewer Rates (updated Oct 2025)
City of Gordon trash services are provided by Dixon Disposal. Yard debris and bulk items are picked up by City. Such items must be separated and an oversized load fee may appy to large loads of such materials. The City does not pick up roofing materials, construction, or demolition debris.
- Garbage $10.50 per can-per month Inside City limits.
- Garbage $12.00 per can-per month Outside City limits.
Natural gas service is provided by the City to its residents. More information about this service, including rates and fees, may be obtained by calling or by visiting City Hall.
Electric service within the City is provided by Georgia Power (888-660-5890), located at 203 South Oak Street. Some areas of the City are served by Tri-County EMC (866-254-8100), located at 112 Recreation Road.
